REFLUXSYN

REFLUXSYN is a synthetic bulking agent indicated for endoscopic treatment of children with vesicoureteral reflux (VUR) grades II-IV.

REFLUXSYN is a sterile, non-pyrogenic, viscous solution of non-animal origin, constituting a biocompatible implant having the advantage of NOT degrading over time.

Injection of REFLUXSYN beneath the ureterovesical junction (UVJ) is intended to buttress this region, forming a little bulge. The bulge makes it harder for the urine to flow back up the ureter to the kidneys. There are no incisions made in the abdomen for this procedure. The success of the procedure is also dependent on the individual child and the doctor's technique. Sometimes more than one treatment is needed to build up a bulge large enough to reduce the child's reflux.

REFLUXSYN is a biocompatible device without an allergenic or inflammatory response, doesn’t migrate locally or to distant sites, providing long-term therapeutic effect.
